During the 70's, as a junior track and field athlete, I discovered Active Isolated Stretching methods.
After developing an injury, I discovered that old school static stretching, (stretching held over two seconds,) was not the
most effective means for preventing muscle injuries. I learned that stretching should be isolated and specific to each muscle
and should only be held for 2 seconds at a time.
